The Fay Estate is a section of Lynn located in the East Lynn area that borders the Salem Line. It is home to Spring Pond, a pond that borders the corners of three cities Lynn, Salem and Peabody. The “Fay Estate” was owned by Richard S. Fay, esq., an agriculturalist, merchant and manufacturer. The Fay Estate was originally 500 acres. There are four historic homes still standing in the Fay Estate today.
Spring Pond has been written about in Literature. It is a very picturesque spot and it is surrounded by hills and woodlands.
Also found in the “Fay Estate” is the Floating bridge. It has two sides that are surrounded by water. In the warm weather months it is a popular spot for fishing and in the winter time you can find a pick up hockey game or possibly take in some ice fishing.
